Tiffany & Co. Store at Heathrow T2

Structural engineering that performs - in theatres, airports, and live event spaces across the UK.

Tiffany & Co. Store at Heathrow T2
You don’t get to hide structure in a Tiffany store - every line, every curve is exposed. Our job was to deliver a frame that could carry the complexity of the design without compromising the finish. And in a space like Heathrow, there’s no room for error.

Airport Retail

Creating a Signature Retail Space in a Landmark Location

MJC was appointed to deliver the structural design for Tiffany & Co.’s new store at Heathrow Terminal 2 - a space that needed to reflect the brand’s luxury identity while fitting within the terminal’s unique oval retail footprint.

The Challenge

The key challenge was integrating a high-end architectural vision into a curved, constrained footprint within one of the UK’s busiest terminals. The design demanded precision, structural integrity, and seamless coordination to bring together complex glazing, curved forms, and bespoke finishes - all within a live airport environment.

Our Role

MJC provided full structural engineering services for the project, including:

  • Design and detailing of the bespoke steel frame structure

  • Structural coordination with glazing systems and curved façade elements

  • Ongoing consultancy throughout construction to address site-specific challenges

  • Compliance support to meet airport and building control requirements

Our work ensured that the structural framework could support both the architectural ambition and the high standards required for airside construction.

Architectural Integration

The store’s façade features a series of curved glazed panels - a combination of hammered and clear sections with integrated LED lighting - reflecting Tiffany & Co.’s refined brand while creating a distinctive presence within the terminal.

The Result

The completed Tiffany & Co. store is a standout retail unit within Heathrow Terminal 2, delivering both visual impact and technical excellence. The project reflects MJC’s ability to support premium retail brands with structural solutions that blend seamlessly with complex design requirements and fast-paced construction programmes.
