What the brief was — and what we delivered.
MJC supported the delivery of Monty's All Day Diner at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, a 1950s-inspired passenger restaurant within the departure lounge.
Brief
The diner forms part of the airport's food and beverage redevelopment, replacing the former Estuary Kitchen & Bar and providing seating for nearly 200 passengers after security.
Structural considerations
- Support for neon accents and mirrored bar features.
- Adaptable seating layouts for booths, counters and passenger flow.
- Durable structure and finishes for constant high-footfall use.
- Coordination with the design and construction teams in a live terminal.
Outcome
The result is a characterful, family-friendly dining space that supports Liverpool John Lennon Airport's upgraded passenger experience while standing up to daily airport use.
The work, on site.
