A good example is the signage application and sympathetic structural support framework we undertook for the iconic Tina sign at the Aldwych Theatre.

A bold entrance for an unmistakable theatre.

The client wanted the giant neon sign to appear to be floating over the theatre entrance. We designed the white framework you can just see behind the sign to bear the load safely whilst achieving the desired floating effect above the canopy.

Leeds Grand Theatre Roof

The beautiful Grade II* ornate plaster ceiling at Leeds Grand Theatre is so delicate and intricate that it's Historic England protection rating accounts for less than 8% of protected buildings in the UK. The risk of disturbing this beautiful ceiling meant that, as lead consultants on the project, MJC had to design an over-roof to cover the building and use this to support the old roof and ornate ceiling from above.
