What the brief was — and what we delivered.
MJC delivered structural design and validation for Rolex's Old Bond Street Christmas installation, supporting suspended illuminated bezels and stars on a sensitive retail facade.
Non-intrusive fixing strategy
The installation required a bespoke hybrid support system formed from steel and aluminium tubes. To protect the architecture, MJC prioritised compression frames clamped to window reveals and columns rather than invasive drilling in sensitive areas.
Validation
Wind loading, weight distribution and secondary bracket performance were assessed to confirm that the illuminated decorations could be installed safely and securely.
The work, on site.
